This ACT electronic safety switch is used to safely and wear-free switch on a receiver system. It can handle high current to ensure the performance of the latest generation of servos.
In order to take advantage of the power and speed of your servos, a power supply providing high current and without losses must be available at the receiver's servo sockets.
The PS-25 power switch offers these safety functions while minimizing components that can fail. This results in optimum protection against vibrations and contact problems.
The switching output components used guarantee maximum current flow and no losses. As a result, the internal resistance is much lower than the contact resistance of conventional mechanical switches supplied with radio controls systems. Due to the large cross-section of the cables in the receiver's power lines, the maximum current is directly fed to the servo sockets, allowing them to offer their maximum performance.
This version of the PS-25 uses an XT60 connector for connection to the battery. On the receiver side, it is equipped with 2 cables with Futaba connectors. These special connectors allow continuous currents of up to 6 A (the highest value for this connector).
The cable cross-section is 0.5 mm. The negative conductor is silver made. This means that the full power of the battery can be transmitted directly to the servo cables.
The high-current electronic switch has the advantage of eliminating all wear or vibration problems inherent in mechanical switches. To switch on the circuit, simply press the ON button, which then only switches on the switching electronics (and thus the receiver and servos), after which the button is no longer active. The power current always flows through the power electronics and not through the actuation buttons or switches.
Featuring:
· High-current power FET for a continuous current of 25 A (short 40 A) with low internal resistance.
· Safe interruption of 0.5 s ensures bridging against bounce and vibration of the switches.
· Absolutely vibration-proof thanks to SMD technology (perfect for RC helicopter use...).
· No mechanical wear.
· Ideal for all applications with digital servos requiring a high power supply.
· Max. voltage drop 0.2 V at 20 A.
· Only passive and fail-safe electronic components are present. No software!
